For years, JioSaavn felt like a closed box to independent artists. Your song went in through a distributor, and that was it. Two recent moves have changed that.
1. ArtistOne Finds (August 2025)
Music Ally reported in August 2025 that JioSaavn launched ArtistOne Finds, a playlist to spotlight upcoming artists. It is built from songs that artists submit through ArtistOne, and focuses on emerging, non-film music in Hindi and regional languages.
That is a big deal for a market where film music still takes most of the attention. A Marathi indie singer or a Garhwali folk band now has a place to send their song directly to JioSaavn's team.
2. The ArtistOne mobile app (February 2026)
In February 2026, JioSaavn announced the ArtistOne mobile app. According to the announcement, artists can see real-time performance data and audience insights, customise their profile, share milestones and connect with fans from their phone.
Why JioSaavn matters for regional artists
JioSaavn is the music app behind JioTunes, and it has a strong base among Jio users in smaller towns. If your audience is in Bihar, eastern UP, Jharkhand or rural Maharashtra, a lot of your plays can come from here.
How to use both
Step 1: Make sure your music is on JioSaavn. Artists do not upload directly. It has to come through a label or distributor.
Step 2: Claim your profile. Register at artists.jiosaavn.com, verify your email, search your name and submit your social links. JioSaavn's team checks and approves.
Step 3: Install the app. Once you have access, track streams after release day, not just a week later.
Step 4: Submit for ArtistOne Finds. When you have a strong new non-film song, use the submission option in ArtistOne. Write a short, clear note on the song, the language and why it is special.
