Digital Rights Management for Artists & Labels
Rights management at RMX Music covers the practical control of a recording after it is released: who may use it, how royalties are tracked, and how an unauthorized use is challenged.
Copyright, licensing and the master
RMX distributes and administers uses of recordings you still own. Licensing questions that go beyond store delivery — a sync, a sample, a third-party cover — need a right you actually hold. RMX does not register a copyright with a government office in place of the owner.
Protection on YouTube
Unauthorized audio uses are handled through YouTube Content ID. Unauthorized visual uses are handled through Visual Claims. Both depend on a clean rights position.
Royalties and takedowns
Money from allowed uses is reported under music royalties. If a release should come down, a logged-in rights owner can file a takedown request. Removal still waits on each store.
